Boolean

- AND
The terms left and right to AND must match. - OR
At least one of the terms left or right to OR must match. - NOT
The term left to NOT must match while the term to the right must not match.
You may also use parentheses to group sub-expressions.

If you want a sequence of words to match exactly put quotes around them like this: "exchange value"
Format

Long

Short
-
A short format containing only very brief information about the search results.
Sort by
You can sort the results by three dimensions:
Score
-
The search engine computes a score for each page found how well it probably matches your query. You can sort by this score.
Time
-
Sorts by the timestamp of the page.
See explanation of page age
for the meaning of time.Title
-
Requests an alphabetic sorting of the titles.
You may reverse the direction of each of the dimensions with the remaining options.
Restrict
You may restrict your query to different areas of the Oekonux sites.
If you give no restriction all sites are searched if you use this form. If you give one or more restrictions only pages in these areas are considered.
If you restrict to a mail archive only the mail pages themselves are searched. Use the In index link of the page to jump to the index of your choice.
If you use the search facility available directly on one of the sites you will search only the respective site.
Thread Ids
You can give one or more thread ids to limit your search to one or more threads in the mail archives. Thread ids follow a simple scheme:
tagTnumber
tag is a unique tag for describing the mail archive. It usually matches the lower cased letters of the subject tag of the respective mailing list. T is a fixed separator. number is a 5-digit identifier of the head of the respective thread. If you give multiple thread ids separate them by a blank.
In the archives you find this thread id in the thread index and at the top of the message pages. If you use the search facility available directly on a message page in an mail archive the thread id is preset to the thread containing the respective message.
Maximum and minimum age
You may give a maximum and a minimum age of the pages you want to see. The age of a page is determined by the timestamp of the page.
Message pages in the mail archives use the timestamp of the respective mail so you can search the mail archives using time based restrictions.
